Laurel real estate

On Friday July fourth, Laurel Maryland held it’s annual Independence Day parade.  The weather was beautiful.  Numerous Laurel Md residents participated in the parade and many more people from all around Laurel lined the streets to watch and cheer the parade.

Everyone had a great time.   The parade had old time fire trucks like the one in the above picture.  It also gave the Laurel Volunteer Fire Squad an opportunity to show-off one of their favorite trucks.

This big engine was a sight to see and thrilled all the kids in the neighborhood.  Numerous fire departments from Burtonsville Md to Laurel’s own Maryland City were represented in the parade.

The Laurel fouth of July parade also featured some interesting floats.   I can’t remember exactly who sponsored the float with all the flags, but I must admit it got a lot of attention.   All of us in the parade were cooled by a frequent cool breeze.  The breeze also kept all flags waving throughout most of the parade.

Several local officials and groups were represented in the parade as well.  The local cub scout troop had their own float.  Local businesses walked in the event or had their own float to drive in the parade.

All of us were escorted through Laurel Maryland neighborhoods by the local police department.   The Laurel police and some Prince Georges County police did a great job.

The Laurel Maryland Independence Day parade is one of the many reasons Laurel is a great community.
