Ellicott City Md is one of the most wealthy communities in the United States.  Howard County is listed as the third wealthiest county in the country.  In 2006 Money Magazine ranked Ellicott City Md at number four on its list of the 100 Best Places to live.

 The downtown area is often referred to as "Historic Ellicott City"  because of its roots to the creation of Ellicott City Md.  back in 1772. 

Ellicott City Md is bordered to the north by Baltimore County and to the south by Columbia Md.
