What does Laurel Maryland have to look forward to in 2009?

According to the Gazette, the owner of Laurel Commons Mall says the remodeling will begin very shortly.  The mall should experience demolition as soon as today.  Despite tough economic times the owners plan to move forward.

Also according to the Gazette, Konterra will remain on the planning board.  As you recall, Konterra is the huge commercial/residential project planned for Laurel MD.  The paper indicated ground breaking for Konterra may begin late 2009 or early 2010.
