Above are the statistics for home sales from last October of 2007 and this past October of 2008. These numbers are for Laurel MD 20708. As you can see the numbers still reflect a downward trend in the Laurel real estate market.
The most stunning numbers to me are in the average sold price catagory. The average sold price in Laurel MD 20708 from last October as compared to this October is a drop of $90,000. This is astounding! That is a 22 percent drop in value. I guess it is not so stunning if you think about how home prices climbed at that rate in the seller market. This is further proof of a correction. The market is not falling, it is righting itself.
Ofcourse, this is a great time to buy a home in Laurel MD or any Maryland real estate.
