Konterra is coming to Laurel Md. Konterra is a massive commercial and residential community development planned for Laurel Md. In fact, parts of Konterra are already built. The Wellington section of Laurel Md is part of the overall Konterra development.
There is going to be a Konterra Town East. This section will consist of 488 acres and will be zoned for mixed use. This section will contain about 1.5 million square feet of retail and over three and half million square feet of office space. In addition, the plan for the Konterra Town East calls for 4500 residential units and about 600 hotel rooms.
Konterra Town West will be about 253 acres and be zoned for upscale retail.
More housing developments to the west of I95 are planned as well. Approximately 500 homes are planned for the Fairland Park area. You can get more information about Konterra at their web site at www.konterra.com

Have you heard what’s new in Laurel Maryland real
estate? The Laurel Senior High School located on Cherry Lane
in Laurel, Md. has a big announcement. The High School is getting a brand
new auditorium.
The new building will cost approximately twenty three million dollars. This
new auditorium is just a continuation of the momentum of development in
Laurel. Builders have recognized the strategic location of Laurel Maryland.
Laurel is located right between Baltimore, Md. and Washington D.C.
Over the last ten years Laurel MD has begun to boom. In
that ten year span several new housing developments have sprung up. These
new developments have sprung up on Cherry Lane, Contee Road and Van Dusen
Road in the Prince Georges County section of Laurel. These new homes have
sold for up to one million dollars.
In addition to the Prince Georges County section of Laurel Md., new
neighborhoods have sprung up in Howard and Ann Arundel Counties of Laurel.
In Ann Arundel County, the Russett community has just finished being
completed and has its own shopping center. The shopping center features
both a Sam’s Club and a Walmart.
In Howard County Laurel Maryland, the Emerson Community is almost completed. This
community features luxury style single family homes as well as large
Laurel luxury town homes.
